Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993, and the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of children's memory as eyewitnesses and the use of child victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded several grants and was awarded numerous international and national distinctions. She has advised numerous administrations and agencies across the globe on policies as well as research related to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She currently serves as consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of several professional associations including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
