Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn was born in the US. Her most well-known role is her character Skyler White on the AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for acting at Preparatory school prior to moving to Ohio together with her family during the early 1970s. She studied theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a period at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago-area theatres for a few years. She then moved on to TV and film. In 1992 Anna was offered her first big character as Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's and was later given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons in Deadwood that was shot in the mid 2000's. Skyler appeared in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully is the Deadwood film, and other movies also featured her. Gunn was also on the stage in a David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the four-part podcast audio drama called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and eventual end resembles the end of Walter White's story.
